Afternoon Pick Up:
Please see the graphic below for the traffic flow:

During Car Arrival and Pick Up, parents are able to use both lanes and merge together like Chick-fil-a. This will help take traffic out of the street and neighborhood. (See sign below)

-
Procedures are in place to help keep our walkers safe when crossing the roads.
Parents will need to meet their child at the designated locations shown by the red dots on the map below.
Students in grades 2–5 will cross first if they do not have a younger sibling. If they have a sibling in PK–1, they will cross with their younger sibling.
Once the older students have crossed, a PK–1 teacher will walk groups of students to the A side and B side.
ACTION NEEDED FOR PK–1 FAMILIES:
If you have a child in PK–1, please email your child's teacher to let them know whether your child is an A side or B side walker. This information will be written on your child's backpack tag. We will sort students before they exit the building so they are prepared to walk to the correct location.

- Stand at least five feet back from the bus stop to avoid accidents. Stand on the sidewalk or back from the roadway while waiting for the bus.
- Do not play at bus stops.
Loading the Bus
- When the bus approaches, form a line and be prepared to load immediately.
- Stand clear of the bus until it comes to a complete stop, and until red loading lights come on.
- Watch your step, step on quickly, quietly, without crowding or pushing.
- Parents should instruct their children on what procedures to follow if the bus is missed.
Getting Off the Bus
- Stay seated until the bus is completely stopped.
- Use the handrail and take one step at a time when leaving the bus.
- Wait for your turn to leave the bus; pushing and crowding will only slow exiting and may cause an accident.
- You must use your assigned stop at all times (A.M. and P.M. routes).
- Stay clear of the bus when unloading. Do not chase or hang on to the bus at any time.
- If any article drops or rolls near or under the bus, do not go after it. Go to the door of the bus and ask the driver for help.
- The bus driver signals or instructs you that he/she will escort you across the roadway, the bus driver will exit first and escort you off the bus and across the road or street.
