During the month of January, two Houston professional sports organizations recognized outstanding educators from the Lamar CISD Silver Track at Randle High School, highlighting the powerful connection between education, leadership, and community impact.

On January 7, Coach Brian Randle of Randle High School was named the 2025 Houston Texans Coach of the Year. On January 12, teacher Emerzen Echavez of Randle High School was named the Houston Rockets STEM Teacher of the Month for January. The award recognizes big-thinking in the classroom and a commitment to inspiring students in STEM.
